A familiar tale

My passion for photography began in 2010 when I wanted to capture better images of my students' training and document the exciting moments of martial arts competitions I participated in. While mobile phones are convenient for casual snapshots and social media sharing, I quickly realised their limitations when printing, cropping, and using photos for commercial purposes. That's when I turned to "proper cameras" for their quality and versatility.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to explore and use more than 40 different interchangeable lens cameras from various reputable brands like Fujifilm, Sony, Olympus, Canon, Nikon, and Panasonic. These cameras spanned a range of sensor sizes, from one inch to full-frame, and featured resolutions from 12 to 61 megapixels. This extensive experience has given me valuable insights into the camera systems available.

As someone who is not a professional photographer but is deeply passionate about the art, I understand the initial confusion many enthusiasts face when venturing into the world of photography. This website can be a helpful resource for individuals looking to make informed decisions when purchasing a digital camera, ultimately enhancing the quality and usability of their photographs.

I am committed to updating the gallery and written content regularly, ensuring that this platform remains relevant and valuable as I continue my lifelong journey with photography.

Master K Lo

Master K Lo was coined when my students continued to call me KwanJangNim outside of classes. KwonJangNim is a Korean term for a master instructor or the chief instructor of a martial arts centre, and you have to admit, it makes a cool signature.
